I am a local dad from Maida Vale who came to Ian with absolutely no experience in drumming. I wanted to find a new hobby and I’ve always wanted to try playing. I didn’t just walk away knowing how to keep a rhythm and read music—I walked away with a new mentor, and an incredible friend. Ian doesn’t just teach music, he gets to know you as a human being. He becomes a true friend. And as busy as he gets, he was always able to work around my ever-changing acting schedule with ease. I eventually had to stop taking lessons due to other work, but Ian was honestly the best musical teacher I’ve ever worked with. He sees into your heart, and is present with you every second you are together. And he knows how to get the best out of you. Highly recommend.

Ian is an amazing instructor! I come from a musical background, but the drums are a completely different animal to me. I had always wanted to learn, and I found Ian online. Right out of the gate, he got me to play a simple beat on the first lesson. I’ve only had a few lessons, but he’s already got me playing simple beats, fills, and techniques that I was able to pick up so easily. I highly recommend taking the plunge and taking lessons from him. His approach is simple, he’s a great guy, and he’s always really fun to be around..

Chloe’s voice lessons were fantastic! She strikes the perfect balance between challenging you to try new things with your voice along with supporting you with where you’re at right now. She’s very knowledgeable about the science behind working with your voice and he really empowers his students to harness their voice in new ways.

I started taking lessons from Athena because I wanted to set a foundation for my singing with solid fundamentals to build the confidence to give it my all in the live setting and provide a solid performance. Working with Athena has helped me understand the fundamentals as well as my abilities as a vocalist so that I can perform with confidence.

Every lesson with Athena is a discovery because he remembers the pain points and progress from previous sessions and builds upon them with subsequent sessions. In my case, I pop in for a lesson every few weeks but it still feels like I am progressing as if I was in a more standard and set “vocal program”. Plus his facility is super cool, classy and comfy.
